BBC NEWS | World | Asia-Pacific | Taiwan protests over Google map
Taiwan has asked the internet search engine Google to stop referring to the island as a province of China on its map web site.
Not a fun decision for google to make. Either google continue to piss off Taiwan, or they get it in the neck from China if they ammend the text. I’m glad I don’t have to make this decision!
Update:
An entertaining commentry on the issue can be found here (via the Peking Duck).
Angry Chinese Blogger has written a thoughtful and very in-depth article on the topic (highly recommended).
