Wow, I was just reading one my old entries and followed the google link.

No more “province of China” malarkey (see old picture).
I checked it out, and yep, google caved in!
Wow, a big corporation like this doing something good? Well I’d like to think so. Call me a cynic, however, but I suspect that it’s more likely that their marketing people just decided that they will take less of a hit from Beijing’s wrath than from the bad press they were getting. Ah well, at least they did it!
Oh boy, I bet there are some strongly worded conversations going on in a little office somewhere in capital! :)
Hum, I wonder if google blacklists sites that give it bad press… that would be remarkably in tune with Beijing’s attitude, wouldn’t it? Lol, well I can certainly blame it for a marked drop in my rankings over the last month or so, even if they don’t!
